WHY DO WE TAKE TIME AND EFFORT TO GIVE OUT FOOD?THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE...
We believe this is one of the things Jesus would do if he was here today. Jesus touched the lives of those in his community through miraculous actions and simple acts of kindness. He did this because he valued all people. We do this for the same reason. Through our food pantry we are able to assist families in need by providing them with a supply of food every month.
The first Saturday of each month from 9:00-11:00AM the Food Pantry is open here in the Lobby at the Vineyard. Anyone can pick up food, regardless of income, where they live, or whether or not they attend the Vineyard.Click here for directions.
FOOD NEEDED
We have ongoing food collection throughout the year. Purchase some of the items from the list below and drop off the bag of food in the BAG HUNGER bins provided in the Lobby.
1 lb. bag of rice
1 lb. bag of dry beans
1 lb. bag of pasta
Pasta sauce
Canned vegetable
Breakfast items (grits, oatmeal, granola bars, Pop-Tarts, etc.)
Canned meat (tuna or chicken)
Boxed mashed potatoes
Boxed macaroni and cheese
Boxed entree (such as Hamburger Helper)
Peanut Butter

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
As part of Bag Hunger, we collect food for people in need each Thanksgiving. We collect all the items needed for a Thanksgiving meal. We even include a turkey! We will begin receiving these food items beginning October 17th and will distribute the food on Saturday, November 12th. Click here for a list of food items needed.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE
Many of the families that have been helped through Bag Hunger have children that attend local public elementary schools. To further assist them as school begins; we collect supplies each year throughout the month of July. Click here for a list of supplies needed.
