This outreach to our community is a partnership with Children’s Hospital in New Orleans that began in March 2010. Children's Hospital treats patients from birth to 22 years old in more than 50 specialties, including life-threatening illnesses, routine childhood sicknesses and preventative care. They have 235 beds and 6,800 inpatient admissions annually. One Thursday and Saturday each month teams go to Children's Hospital to visit with patients, play games and do crafts. We do this to brighten the day of a child in the Hospital and encourage their families, the staff and volunteers. If you would like more information about Operation Band-Aid please contact us here. |
