Student Life
| DIRECTOR: GRANT GREMILLION STUDENT LIFE - OUR MINISTRY TO YOUTH is the place for students to be connected to their peers as they journey through life with God. Students in grades 7th – 12th meet upstairs in the youth room on Saturdays at 5:00 pm or Sundays at 11:15 am, learning together to move in directions of growth. Because we value having an upward relationship with God, we have a kickin’ student lead band to lead worship as well as have weekly messages that talk about practical and relevant issues students deal with every day and how God wants to be with us as we walk through life. As we focus on developing inward relationships, we offer youth Alpha during summer. Our High School students have a place to hang out called Roundtable Tuesday which meets every other Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Our Jr. High School students have an energetic midweek gathering called Collide which meets on Fridays at 6:30 pm. Along with our main programs we have numerous fun events separately for those in Jr. High and in High School, trips and small groups, all of which provide opportunities to develop relationship with God and shared experiences with peers. We challenge students to live a life which is outward by loving and serving the surrounding community by being involved in outreaches that impact the community in which we live and communities in other nations. Students participate in a number of different outreaches that range from spending time with residents at a nearby retirement home, to assisting the missions department with giving bags of food to people in the community, to feeding the homeless, to taking mission trips to Africa. All of this is designed to challenge us to simply love those around us – to line up with what God is doing in our everyday ordinary lives and meet the needs of people that we share life with.
